Hello guys

This is strange, since installing windows 10 my overclock on the 2600k has reverted back to normal and when i am in the gigabyte bios i can't change anything at all, its all completely locked up!!!!

even tried easytune and it says it can't load the drivers, what has locked my cpu??

my gigabyte software wont load on in windows 10 and worked fine in 7. I am just waiting for gigibyte to fix it.

Anyway i only use the software to play around for benchmarking. Always best to set your max stable 24/7 overclock in bios.

oops just read everything is locking bios. Now that is odd.

You tried loading optimised defaults?

Okay so far i've managed to flash the bios and its all working okay now.

I set the clock to 40, bclk at 100 and turned turbo off but windows 10 task manager is saying that i'm peaking at 5.90GHz, is this an error??

can anyone recommend some decent cpu monitoring software

Okay i used cpu-z and hwmonitor and its clear that windows 10 task manager can not read overclocks correctly

mwmonitor says my c[u is at 4.1ghz, windows task manager says its 6.5ghz LOL

just wondering, in hwmonitor it says the max voltage it got to was 1.356v, if i remember correctly thats too high??

Yeah don't look at task manager for ghz speed, I'm running 4.2ghz yet it thinks I'm on LN2 running 6ghz.
