Looks like you will need some practice time then, word of advice, try and find a game that non of the competitors are familiar with, might help even at the playing field a little.

I was always a huge fps and rpg gamer on pc, but for sim racing had toca/forza/gt
 
I do like games all FPS especially the BF series and all driving games I like a lot. Just dont get a massive amount of time to play as I would often rather be benching.
 
bf3 is my current console choice (sorry to get off topic)

not gonna try it on pc until ive finished rebuild

sli 8800gts just dont cut it, get rather warm on air cooling too
