Any reason why it was cancelled was due to the shows bonuses which increase per season, was heading into the millions....

I take it drew was getting millions or taking most of the cost that killed the show but who knows for sure.

i would have thought Olyphant was bigger and more expensive? Has Barrymore done much else recently?

According to some sites, she was on $350k per episode (featuring in a TV highest paid list) and Olyphant wasn't on there at all. The Big Bangers get a mill a pop, yikes!

At least it's a somewhat satisfying conclusion, I'm not happy that it was cancelled but if that's the cliffhanger at least we can say it left on a decent note.

At least it didn't end with the events that were the middle of the episode, that would have been a bigger gutpunch to leave on.

Finished watching this last week. Disappointed it's been cancelled, but happy all the active "stories" were closed and finished. The final "cliffhanger" was a minor point in some ways.
