Not sure I am allowed to do this ( if not sorry admin just let me know and ill remove post )...

I have a spare apple lead if anyone is waiting on getting a saphire lead. I purchased the sapphire one and while I was having probs with my 5970 I purchased the apple one to check see if it was the Sapphire lead I was having probs with so basically its been used for 20 seconds only. If anyone is interested then pm me.

LOL good point actually. Also the apple one only has a mini dp plug which is what I am using on my 5970 so it will save me using the adapter on my Sapphire one

I gave up on waiting for the display port adapter and went for a display port to VGA dongle for my eyefinity setup. Works fine and was less than £30 delivered.

Yep. Using a different adapter. There's a list of validated dongles on the AMD website. There are mixed reports with a few of them though.

hi what was the problem with your adaptor?
iv got a saphire adaptor and cant get it to work at all
