Sapphire 5850s

They are made by the same manufacturer that does the Powercolor cards.

I wanted a Sapphire one to, was going to purchase today, but if anything else, I would like the XFX but the price difference between the Sapphire and XFX just don't entice me to buy it.
 
Why are the xfx so much then? just for the name? or the oc possibility's of it? and cool, was i couldn't find there website lol
 
Theres nothing wrong with VTX, they do the Powercolor ones as well as said above, but all the cards are the same anyway, as all are made by Sapphire, then they just get which ever brand they are for stickers on em.

Only other differences are the warranty length (VTX is 1 year, where as the Sapphires 2), and extras (like cables/adapaters etc...) and software you get with them.

Would just depend on wether you can wait for the Sapphires to come back in or not id say, but be no worries with the VTX if you can't.

Ditto, Have been reading these threads for 2 weeks deciding whether to get a 5770 or 5850, make my mind up and there all gone lol. :eek::D:D

There was 10+ in stock earlier, you dirty lot have been bulk buying over the weekend :p:D
 
I've got the VTX.....very minimal bundle, small box but meh. Good card and good clocker, but the fan does grind on startup sometimes which is annoying.
 
It's longer than you think.

My old 5850 was faulty. Sent it back to the retailer and the idiots refunded me becaus they couldn't get stock. And they took a month to reach that decision.

So I decided to come to ocuk to buy and now for receiving tomorrow and they're all gone now :(

RMA to manufacturer, at least that way there only option is to send you a card

The retailer did go through to sapphire. They sent the card direct to them. And then I had a go at the retailer for taking too long and then they called sapphire to see what the hold up was. And their response is that they don't have no cards to give for replacement. So the retailer refunded me.
 
OK I don't know if this is for real but I got off the phone to OCUK about 10 mintutes ago to pre-order a Sapphire 5850 for when the next batch comes in.

I got an email after the phone call saying that the order has been made.

And just now I get an email saying my order has been shipped, and a DPD tracking number has been given!
