Hi there
Some of you have already spotted today, but in short I held of ordering for the past few weeks as firmly believes the pound would strengthen, which it has done, peaked at 1.31 and now hovering around 1.28, a considerable improvement in last couple of weeks. Also I have negotiated better USD cost as well with Sapphire, as such though some have already been spotted I can now offer the following cracking prices on Sapphire products:
7900 XTX 24G @ £899
7900 XT 20G @ £699*
7600 8G @ £239
6950 XT 16G @ £599
6800 XT 16G @ £499
6750 XT 12G @ £349
6700 XT 12G @ £299* (Due first week of August)
*Represents low margin for OcUK (5%) and is a gamble of the rate holding around 1.29/1.30 as such if you feel a 6700 XT at £299 or a 7900 XT at £699 is a good price (currently best in UK) then you should buy as these products are purchased aggressively in USD and gambling on a 1.30 rate holding, as such there is no further downside in price on these items in short term but the prices is extremely likely to increase in short term, so if next week these prices jump by £20-30 don't cry that you missed out, as the saying goes, snooze you lose.
Anyone pre-ordering gets that order and price honoured, irrelevant of what happens to the rate, so pre-order in confidence and hopefully by next weekend you will all have your nice new shiny AMD card.
