Sapphire AMD Deals

What happened to the Sapphire 7900 xt deals , did these cards all sell-out after the announcement of the 7800 xt? or are they just unavailable from OCUK for some reason?
There were a few (Pulse, ASROCK) that were discounted to £700ish that sold pretty well. I guess they couldn’t sustain the discount after stock ran out.

Highly unlikely, no business will hold onto stock to sell at a cheaper price on special event if they could sell it now, as we know small margins. generally stock is already allocated for black friday that was bought with a little more discount applied, givin the retailer the similar margin, or its old stock that wont sell, like most of the rainforest black friday stuff is tat they unable to sell

Thanks for the update. I've ordered the 7900 XT.

It's going to be replacing a KFA2 GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infin8 Black Edition" which has been performing really well considering its age the downfall is the 4GB(3.5gb) of vram. That's also why I've bought what's considered a high VRAM card this time.

Going from a 970 to a 7900xt, good god.

Like going from 14.4k dail up to full fibre.

7900xt is a solid choice you won't be disappointed.

TBH I think i'm gonna wait till then, i contemplated buying one on Monday as i've been on holiday this week, then they were all out of stock. Thinking we might be able to get the 7900xtx for £800 or so Black Friday might be my jump in price.
not quite the price you are looking at but i saw this

its £899 good sign prices are going down (when i linked it) , still pricey to me.

Yeh that's what it was before in the last sale. I did look at the start of the week when it was 940 then it went out of stock and now it's back to 900. If it was the Nitro for that price i'd buy it, but i'm gonna wait for the £800 mark I think. It's what i paid for my 1080ti. (assuming we get £800 this year, if it's been out over a year and doesn't drop to that i'm just gonna wait for the next gen.

Getting the XTX for £600 would be a deal of the century on Black Friday

I only had a G-Sync Monitor too (Dell S2417DG) which doesn't play well with AMD cards but had trouble finding a new monitor that matches it 24" 144hz 1440p TN, but picked one up from a Chinese brand Tiansu which is the same spec just IPS and Freesync, £137 first day hope it lasts .
Now I'm ready for the XT to arrive.

If its down to £800 BF ill get it, but now it's nearly a year old i'm also very tempted to just wait out this generation. AMD and Nvidia need to be slapped down a peg or two. Shrinkflation is real for both of them, selling 4070 with what would historically have been a 4060 part for example.

If it goes to £600 though man i'd grab that instantly but theres 0 chance that's happening will mess up every other tier of card they have.
