Reminds me very much of the price of that Asus Mars card from about a year back!! Huge amounts of cash that sold for too. Good luck to the people who can afford them, thats what I say. Im so jealous.

It was stupidly high because it was a limited edition. Only 1000 made I think. I remember it being around the price this hd5970 is being sold for if my memory serves me right

That's backwards logic if I ever heard it - if you can comfortably afford this card, then you plainly have no need to save for anything in life as you're already rich...

No because its now a better rig.
As you saying you could build a good rig with that as if someone is going to put such a card into a PC that is seriously lacking in other areas.

No one would buy it unless its going to improve on what they have.
That's why i bought 2.

Imo being rich has nothing to do with this, 2x 480's would be much faster and you get physx and cuda.
