** SAPPHIRE KICKING ASS!! **

MSI have always worked very well for me. The build quality on Lightening series is the best. I have taken down many WR using MSI too Hawk and Lightening series.

Sapphire I believe are a great card too me and Gibbo tested the older series on Air a while ago. He has been asking me to test this current crop too. Week after next a review I think.

manufacturers don't offer longer warranties because they believe in their products they do so to help move their products of the shelves. sapphire offering only 2yr warranty tells me they believe in their products more than msi does. :)

So by your reckoning, Asus, Gigabyte, Evga and Msi are all struggling to shift their inferior cards, have no faith in them and therefor have 3yr warranties.

Meanwhile Gainward, Powercolor, Sapphire and Vtx are the best quality cards and 'deserve' a 2yr warranty because they sell better. Mmmm.........:D

i didn't say anything about been inferior or better, what i said was companies offer more warranty because of sales & not because they believe in their product's quality.

This to be honest. Never had a problem with Msi stuff and that 3yr warranty is backing up your product. Seems to me these Sapphire cards cost plenty but no 3yr warranty backup, that tells me they don't believe in their product.

That's not quite how it works, Sapphire could easily offer a 3year warranty on its products but it mean it would have to charge more to cover the risk exposure of somthing going work in that 3rd year. However personally when spending more then 300 quid on a video card (or any component for that matter) I would want at least a 3 year warranty. The alternative is trying to claim for a replacement on household/gaget insurance.

But for the first part of a video cards life cycle everyone is selling reference designs so the quality is uniform across all makes.

But it shows they are willing to back the product. like the AX1500i - a 10 year warranty. I will always look at warranty when buying a product. If I have to spend another 10-20 pounds on a graphics card because it has another year it is worth it to me.

Don't MSI allow you to remove the coolers too? Which is a bonus

Agree. Personally I like gigabytes warranty and RMA service

^^ No justified reason at all. Sapphire are a very high rated board partner of AMD. The cards I have tested with there badge on them have performed very well and Gibbo has also found the same.

The new Tri X cooler is as good as anything out there.

That would mean they'd offer ones like Corsair do on their PSU's. They know they're top quality, so they 'guarantee' them for 7-10 years. My HX750 is still going strong and without the dust, i'd take it as being new. It'll be five this year. :)

But for me, if they were to offer a five year warranty and had an RMA service that was total ****, i'd rather take a two year warranty with Logitech's level of RMA.

*Still yet to RMA anything but a peripheral. Touch wood!

Agree 8 Pack was just wondering what his reason was if any hehe

I do know about RMA as I meet with all board partners along with Gibbo. As far as I am concerned there RMA procedure and turn round is very good.

Any reason??

I would like to see the review as I am currently lost between so many 290xs.
