Sapphire R9 290 - Unable to Boot - Multiple GPUs

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to run 3 x Sapphire R9 290 cards in an AsRock H61 Pro BTC motherboard using a 1300W SuperFlower PSU. I've also tried using dual power supplies with an EVGA 1000W SuperNova so power is not an issue.

When booting up, I see the BIOS screen for a bit, then as it goes into Windows the screen goes black forcing me to have to restart the machine. This happens every time. Occasionally when booting the fans on the GPU will go to 100% but it won't actually show me anything.

I've tried pretty much everything - swapping the riser cables, swapping the ports, swapping the PSU. What's even more frustrating is that when I plug 3 x R9 290X (MSI) into the exact configuration, it works like a dream.

Please help before I smash them up. :(

on all of them?

Try the HDMI. Update the Motherboard BIOS, other than that i'm out of idea's.

Using HDMI already buddy and Motherboard is the latest BIOS.

Just seems so weird that using exactly the same set up the 280X's work fine.

Any chance you can use on board to display?

I had an issue with my 290x Xfire rig where when I tried to use top gpu as display it rid what u have.

so as I don't use it to play games much I booted from igpu.
Mines nicely.

Boot on safe mode, go on device manager and disable the onboard gpu.

Will try both of these later and let you know. Cheers chaps.
