Radio 1 died for me the day Mark & Lard were split up and their afternoon slot taken away.
They were the best thing on Radio 1, period.

Mark and Lard were rubbish when they stopped the graveyard shift. They deserved to lose their daytime shift months before they did, because they weren't good enough.

Wogan when he's on form has me in utter stiches Has the odd off day though I'm going more and more off Steve Wright however, which is a shame as his shows used to be fantastic.

Sara Cox (and pretty much every R1 DJ) are utter tripe. How anyone can find Chris Moyles "entertaining" I don't know.

I solve the DJ whoever being irritating problem by not listening to anything other than streaming internet radio at the moment. I don't actually find Sara Cox all that irritating and I even quite enjoy Jo Whileys shows when I've listened to them but I suspect that has rather more to do with the Live Lounge than her talents.

Chris Moyles and Scott Mills however just lead me to thoughts of committing extreme bodily violence on the pair of them.

A rational well balanced argument, wishing death on anyone for hosting a radio show seems a little odd to me.

Personally I quite like her these days since she became a mum she has been much more entertaining and I really enjoy the comedy genius that is her daughter.

Because you are listening to the radio for the witty banter and repartee (hopefully for the music but let us not descend into fantasy here)? If I wanted to listen to unfunny people repeating other peoples lines then it would be perfect but I don't particularly. Also most of the film actors I care to watch are better at feigning surprise or making an interesting part out of the script, none of the aforementioned seem all that good at acting.

I used to really hate the old Sara Cox shows but recently her weekend and stand in stuff isn't so bad. And the fact that she has been replacing Jo 'I so wish I was a popular as John Peel' Whiley is a bonus!

Was having that exact conversation with my mate the other day. She gets on my nerves. Sarah Cox does a bit too, but Jo Wiley is a lot worse imo.

Then we want two entirely different things from our radio and it goes some way to explaining why I think Moyles/Mills are about as unfunny as peeling your toenails off with a cheesegrater.
