Surprised to see no thread already.
Ok, here goes...

Anyone else feel they're getting worse at the game the more they play? :D
Seriously, I'm in the 4th biome (The Marsh) and the first time I got there, I got to the boss.

I have now played this biome like 15-20 times and reached the boss like 2 more times.
Sometimes not even getting to the part of the level where you split paths.

I dunno.
Is the game dynamically adjusting the difficulty?
Do I somehow think I'm better than I am and am rushing into battles believing my seemingly non-existent 1337 skill will save me?
Hahah

Still enjoyable, but yeah, I'm at a loss as to why I seem to be going backwards, not forwards.

Try starting your run in the 3rd biome, having that extra biome's worth of proficiency and artifacts built up will help a lot in biome 4 and the boss in biome 3 is one of the easiest to clear so you shouldn't have to worry about losing your second chance. If you want to make yourself even more overpowered then start back at biome 1 and play all the way through to 4 - but you'll have to clear all the bosses again on your way.

Actually makes a lot of sense as to why I got to the boss on the 1st go since I was already pumped up from the 3rd biome :)

Anyway, I did it.
Put a clean run together and yes, the boss was pretty easy when you come to think about it.
Likely by design due to how annoying the marsh is. Hahah !!

Think I'm on to the 5th biome now, 3 & 4 seemed to roll into one. Easy GOTY so far for me though and I've not finished it yet.

With the Pro hooked up to an OLED & Sonos arc soundbar with Dolby Atmos enabled. It runs, looks and sounds fantastic too :D

I’m still way back on the 3rd biome as I’ve been distracted with D4. Found the first overlord quite difficult - think it took me 7 or 8 attempts to kill him but then I killed the overlord on the 2nd biome on my first run.

I’ve been playing the Diablo 4 expansion as well so not had much time at this. Also Division 2 still has its hooks into me. I’ll play it when I am ready.

Completed the game, looking to do a second run sometime soon. Just keep plugging away at the levels, it's the same as Returnal in the sense it rewards you the more you play. In time you'll get to the point where you're steaming through the levels taking down everything in sight and destroying the bosses pretty easily you'll feel like a God lol.

Learn the boss' patterns and stick to the Smart Rifle at first before testing others, although you'll probably end up back with the Smart Rifle.

I've been mad busy with work and so haven't touched this in about 10 days or so. I'm about to face the Biome 2 boss for the first time. I also took down the Biome 1 boss again to help with Lucenite.

Replaying the first Biome and killing the first boss seems like it could be a good farming strategy to boost stats for Biome 2 and beyond. Finding him much easier now I've got some better stats too.

Smart rifle seems like the meta on this game so far, and sometimes it feels a little OP!

Still loving this game. My progress is somewhat slowed due to real life stuff but that is OK, the best things come to those who wait (apparently) :p

Anyone done this fight yet? It's so cool!

In the final biome, where a door opens and all the skulls come dropping out then the boss appears. Shame you only do it once as I died at the big boss just after then on my 2nd run the door didn't open again :(

Darn !!
Almost killed the Yellow King on my 1st attempt. Had the bugger down to like 5% health and then died :D

Struggling to get back there with any kind of meaningful health though. That last floating mini-boss before you get to him is a jerk.

So what's everyone's favorite loadout?
Big fan of the Repeater Crossbow's homing alt fire mode + Dispirator to turn killed enemies into bullet fountains :)

If you can save your overdrive for the miniboss and that will make light work of him. I know you like dispirator but if you can get prominence with vacuum bomb that will really help.

Good luck and enjoy the game of the year!

Well, I'm done :D

Beat the yellow king, did a little bit more story and now it looks like I have to beat him again, but.... I just can't be bothered.
Hahah
I can tell I'm getting bored of it as I have to force myself to turn the PS5 on and I have such a slow mind and bad reactions when playing.

Don't get me wrong, loved the game and had a blast, but I think it's just overstayed it's welcome now after 40+ hours.

To be honest you are not missing much. True ending is a bit of a nothing burger imo.

I started the epilogue stuff but I feel like I've completed the game and it's just retreading the same ground. I think I'm done with it now, I enjoyed it though.

Really enjoyed Saros, no idea what the story was about as I don't tend to be able to focus and follow them!!
But, it runs great, looks great and I had a blast. Definitely recommend it for those that enjoyed returnal.

Got to the Architect today. Cool fight, but got mugged!

Can't get anywhere near him now. Getting mugged en route. Need to switch up my game I think. It's like I just can't do enough damage. Wondering whether I need to go with a shotgun or something. But to be fair I'm only hitting the start with something like 16 or 17 proficiency, and my first go I got to the boss at level 26 or something. Dunno - feels a bit low maybe? Might be I need to grind a bit and upgrade my stats. Maybe I just need to git gud! :p

Really enjoying the game, but.....

It isn't grabbing me as badly as Returnal did.

I can't put my finger on it, but I think I prefer Returnal.
