We've got some basic machines at work, only running windows Xp, which we use for backing up data off hard drives. We've only been using USB 2.0 plug in hard drive caddies. I'm looking to speed up the process by fitting some eSATA 3.0 epci cards.
Not knowing too much about eSATA, I'm worried about bottlenecks, or getting the wrong equiptment which could cause a slow down.
I can see plenty of epci cards to do the job, but all of the caddies I'm looking at don't mention their speed. Is their speed determined by the card they interface with?
Is windows Xp going to be o.k running SATA 3.0?
