To use a hard drive or ssd connected to a sata 6gb header, do you really need a sata3 cable ? or will sata 2 also do the job.
Ive read a post on here somewhere and it from what i can make out, you dont need to use them
yes, ive bit the bullet and ordered the ud5 over the p6td deluxe
my heads full of asus manual and gigabyte manual right now
i just hope these cards dont get uber hot, im sure they wont
so sata 2 will do the job in sata 3 heards then yes
One thing with the UD5 do not use the auto install of drivers from the disk.
Download the latest drivers and install them one by one.
2 hours of BFBC2 and my lowest card dosen't get above 77 and fan 31.
I spent ages trying to decide on the motherboard as like you was going for P6TD.
Have had no problems with the UD5.
Just if you buy an SSD 6Gbps version be sure to download the latest drivers for the Marvell controller(not on gigabytes site) or leave the standard mcahci driver installed.
