SATA 3 Controller Card

I threw a Samsung Evo SSD into my machine over Christmas and upgraded to Windows 10, but I've been having problems with the machine freezing.

I have a P6X58DE motherboard and I connected the drive via the Marvell controller because it runs at 6gb/s where as the intel controller is 3gb/s, however I've been told the Marvell controller is the problem.

I've switched over to using the intel controller but my question is it worth investing in a controller card, if so, can anyone recommend a card?

Personally I'd just wait until you upgrade

Besides benchmarks, you wouldn't really notice THAT much of a difference, I'd keep it on the Intel controller

Stick with Intel - marvel for benchy vanity, Intel controller for sanity :-)

I think the pci control cards would be throttled by lack of bandwidth on 1x slots anyways
