Sata 3 Controller

As the title suggests im interested in getting more out of my Sata 3 SSD's current hobbled by my gigabyte sata 2 ports , I currently have a Gigabyte EX58 DS4 and though very tempted to upgrade to ivybridge as trying to put it off till Haswell . Till then though i need something to satisfy my temptations to upgrade. I have looked at a few cards and know about the whole marvel issue but can anyone recommend a good controller for around £50 . I look forward to your replies

I would suggest saving the money for a future CPU/MB upgrade instead, it will benefit you better in the long run. SATA 3 controller cards are pretty poor giving SATA 3 speeds, sometimes even dropping under SATA 2, so I wouldn't bother.

wont be upgrading for nearly a year and i have read some good things on some controller cards,annoying a reliable controller hasn't been released yet

Forget it. Most will use the awful Marvel controller which is best left alone.
