I cannot install vista on my hard disk, it does not appear in the installation. What to do? It worked yesterday, but today I got BSOD and now the pc wont boot. So I updated to bios 0701 of my A8R32MVP just so I have the latest and now I cannot install on sata drive. I lost all my data yesterday because of this. I am ruined :(

All these problems ave to do with this ACPI crap I think. Why they always make things worse instead of simpler. Idiots.

How are the drives connected and configured?

You using the red & black connectors towards the front edge of the board? Storage configuration in SATA mode and Emulated PATA mode in the BIOS?

I had to set the hard drive to be the first device in the boot priority before Vista would install onto it. Oddly though, the vista install had no trouble seeing the drive, just wouldn't install on to it.
