SATA Cables - are they much the same?

I have a small HP SErver (ML115) which I want to add 2 hard
drives to. The HP documentation says I need to buy a "HP
SATA Cable option kit" which are about £25 each but seem to be just
expensive SATA cables (which are around £4). Is this just a big mark up for HP "quality" or is there something I have missed?

a sata cable is a stat cable is a sata cable

as long as it conforms to specifications it should work

looks like hp are trying to pull a fast one

I take it that it is a sata controller and not SAS

The ones that come in the ML115 have a small plastic tag at each end to help you pull them out.
