I recently got two sata cables with my new motherboard and when plugging them into my HDD and Motherboard they are extremely stiff to insert and remove :s, im just wondering if in some circumstances this is normal?

My pc runs fine etc but im just curious.

Well the ones that plug into the motherboard end usually have little springy clips, be sure that you're pressing those down when pulling them out. Other than that I'd be happy if they were firmly in place.

If your sata cables are firmly in place and hard to remove i would say that was a good thing. As above just remember to press the springy clip to release when unplugging.
