Sata card.

Hiya folks hoping someone can help me.

As readers of the sff section will know i've built a new tiny rig but in my haste to actually get parts for it I for got to geta board with sata support onbaord. So i'm looking at getting a sata card.

Now i assume that i can use the sata card the same way i would use an on board raid controler. boot up off winxp cd and when asked for additional drivers press f6 supply sata card drivers n presto werre off.?

Also what sort of barnd is reasoanble price and performance wise is good enough for sata 133 drives.

Yes thats exactly how they work.

Assuming you just want to run 2 drives in RAID 0 a decent choice would be the Highpoint Rocket RAID 1520 (sold by OcUK). I used to have one myself and it was lightning fast.
