sata connector problem

Im trying to access my old laptops hard drive with a sata connector but it doesnt fit. Its a seagate momentus 5400.4 250gb. The sata connector doesnt fit becuase the pins are too thick. Is there an adaptor that i can buy for this? if so would be great if someone could link me one

You may have a 1.8" HDD in which case have a look at this. Seem the right thing?

A Momentus 5400.4 should have a standard SATA connector. Are you sure that the laptop manufacturer hasn't added an additional adapter that needs to be removed?
