Hi,

I just bought another Samsung Spinpoint 500Gb drive as my other one is getting full.
If my mobo supports 4 SATA drives is it better to have the drives as master and master on different channels? master and slave on the same channel? master and slave on different channels? or does it not matter? At the moment they are master master and I was just asking as im moving data between them and didnt know if different arrangements would be quicker or not.

Thanks

It's just the labelling in the BIOS, as Wingz says there is no concept of master and slave drives in the SATA world, each port is independent.
