SATA drive showing up as removeable in WinXP?

Just setup my new Asus A8N-E, which I have a Maxtor SATA drive attached too (my primary hdd). I've installed the NForce 4 drivers off the supplied CD yet the drive for some reason is shown as removeable in the system tray!

It's not a problem, just annoying that my main HDD is shown in "Safely remove hardware!"

Any ideas?

could try but i'm grasping as straws for you... Right click the drive, properties, hardware, click on the drive and then properties again. Then go to the policies tab. You can configure the drive for quick removeable or performance. but as I said I really don't no! just chucking an idea at you.

Mine is like that too. All I've done is hidden the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the tray so it only appears when you click the little silver < arrow - don't need it. Done that to a few icons actually, it keeps the tray tidy.
