I'd like to know if there's any hope for my situation please so if there's a way to avoid a backup from a incomplete, nonrecent archive that would be great!
I have a SATA raid0 array in an ASROCK 939Dual board. Fine. Tried to carry it over to a newer ASUS board but it didn't like it so put it back in the ASROCK board. It now blue screens right after the Windows loading screen with no particular code problem at the top but mentions harddisk device drivers in the text. Even in safe mode. Would trying to boot on a different board change the array setup?
I can't seem to install XP on a spare disc on the SATAII port, the Jmicron driver for that port 'cannot copy JLOGO.SYS' etc when first setting up the install for XP. If I could get this drive to work I could access the RAID even if it won't boot. I hope.
It installs fine on the SATAI port. Is a SATAI drive compatible with a SATAII port?
Cheers
Problem semi sorted - recovering from an IDE drive backup.
