Had a right fath with the PC, no signal was the first prob, after resetting CMOS and reseating RAM and GFX card I got the BIOS. Now it wont detect the HDD but will detect a DVD-RW. (SATA 1 (the HDD) NOT DETECTED; SATA 2 (the DVD-RW) DETECTED)
Any ideas here, this is after reformatting windows, then transporting the computer halfway across the country.... I've checked the SATA cable but its i nfirmly. POST is 1 bleep, which is all ok I think..............
The DVDRW is detected in SATA 1, so I am assuming its a HDD problem, but what could have gone wrong...
nb. Its an ASUS P5K-VM motherboard and a 400GB HDD
