Sata II and Sata III cables.

Hi, just recieved my new mobo and it comes with 2xSata II cables and 2xSata III cables.
As I'm only using Sata II equipment (for now!) and 2 cables are not enough, can I use the Sata III cables?

Goes to show what I know.... didn't realise there were different sorts of SATA cables lol I figured they were universal!

Well, they probably are universal. Its just that they are clearly marked as II and III, maybe just so you connect them to the right place.
Just thought I'd better check!

SATA 1, 2 and 3 all use the same cables. Im not sure why some manufacturers have chosen to ignore this and create confusion for customers. It's the speed of the interface and not the cables we are concerned about here
