Hey,
Im getting 2x300gb sata drives for an old pc which dosnt have sata ports so i have a silicon image pci controller card. Someone told me i would loose the advantages of SATA if i was to use a pci card. Is this true? Because i thought that sata data went over the pci bus the same as a pci card would . If this is true would i be better off getting 2x300gb IDE drives instead?
Thanks
Jack
