sata port or cable fault?

Just had to totally re-do windows (if anybody has been following my misfortunate) now my comp froze so I had to restart. The new HDD I just bought (on the port and cable of the one Ive just replaced) has now decided to show as borked.
Could this be a problem with the port or cable?

just actually took note off the fault and its "error occured (0)"
