Looking fora cable/device that will allow me to connect two hard drives to a single SATA port, and that has a witch so I can switch between them before I start up the PC, as I need to have a seperate bootloader on each drive....

Or is there another way to have two different bootloaders?

most motherboard bioses allow you to pick the drive you want to boot by pressing a certain key at startup.

Thanks, I forgot about that, but I have a basic board, it has 4 sata ports but only two of them are master, rest are slave/secondary, weird I know, so have to have windows hard drive / dvd on the master ones, will I be able to boot into another os if it's on the slave drive using what you said above?..

Can't change board or add in a pcI sata controller.

Here is a bios pic, not now that the DVD is master so other hard drive is slave

It seems like it'd be a lot easier to use a bootloader than can boot all installed OSes rather than having to futz around in the BIOS every time you want to switch.

What OSes will you need to boot?

you don't usually have to go into the bios to choose which drive to boot. with my old asus p4c800e dlx, you pressed f8 to get a list of devices - with my new p35-ds3l, you press f12.

the bootloader is not reliable when you boot mac os, I have tried it and even if you get it to work no chance of reinstalling either OS without messing up the boot loader, windows uses MBR where as I will be using EFI for the mac bootloader since itis a restore from a time machien backup, I think this is a bit out of your league..

Anyway here is whatI have come up with...
