SATA - Thunderbolt/USB

Hi everyone,
So I bought 120GB samsung ev for my MBP. I thought would be a waste to not use my current 500GB HDD. SO thought of buying SATA - USB cable and use that as an external HDD.

My question is what will the speed like using USB 2.0(not 3.0 on my MBP). Alternatively, I was thinking of SATA to Thunderbolt but not sure if they exist?!?!

Complete waste of time on USB 2.

You can buy Thunderbolt Enclosures and Thunderbolt to eSATA converters.

Not cheap mind.

mount the hdd internally for extra storage?

or buy a 5.25" hdd dock like I have and use it that way,much faster than usb as it connects directly to mb sata ports
