sata to sata2?

Is it worth getting rid of my 2 x sata150 diamondmax 9 160gb in RAID 0, for
2 x sata300 drives when I update desktop? Would this be faster? If so what drives would you recommend?

Are we talking a vast improvment(100% faster), or just a bit( 50% faster)?
