Hi all,
A bit on my SATA1 port connector has broken - is it ok to put the boot drive on SATA2?
I am trying to install XP on a new SATA 250GB and currently have it connected to the SATA2 port.
When I do the F6 thing and put the floppy in (from Abit NF7-S v2.0) it gives me a choice of RAID contollers and was wondering if it was because I have the drive on SATA2.
Choices are (repeated from another post, sorry):
Intel 82801FR SATA RAID Controller 2000/XP/2003
Intel 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller 2000/XP/2003
Intel 82801ER SATA RAID Controller 2000/XP/2003
Silicon Image Sil 3112 SATA RAID XP/Server 2003
Silicon Image Sil 3114 SATA RAID XP/Server 2003
VIA serial ATA RAID controller Windows XP
Paul.
