Sata2 fast enough for recording?

Hi everyone,
I have a small amount to spend and want to improve something my system does.
Currently I have
OS SSD
Sata3 Game HDD
Sata2 Storage drive

If I live record my games (afterburner vid capture) is a sata2 drive going to be fast enough?
I want to buy another drive for my main storage and was thinking of using the left over drive as a dedicated recording drive but want to ensure it will be fast enough.

Recording my screen (1080p) but on the fly compression to 720p @ 75%

It's more than fast enough. The one that will be bottlenecking it will be the CPU.
