Hi all, I bought a satellite TV tuner & capture card ( video mate s350 ) thinking I could plug my coax cable into the back of it. It turns out it's got those satellite plugs at the back of it - I know pretty obvious as it's a satellite card.

My question is if I was to get a adaptor to connect a coax cable to the tv card would this work ?

The satellite inputs on the card are the male threaded type - think they are called F plugs.

yep, as DJ says, I guess it's kind of obvious, but a Satellite card requires a Satellite dish to receive signals..

You also need special coax cable, you can get cable/dishes/LNB's (The thing that sticks out in the middle of the satellite dish) cheap on e-bay, a used Sky Digital dish would probably work fine..
