Am looking at buying a Sat Nav kit for my car and have been told to look at the Navman ICN530, i don't like TomTom so want to steer clear of them.

I can't see any way of it linking to my car stereo though. My car has bluetooth fitted but i believe that the Navman doesn't have bluetooth, is there any other way to link it up?

Thanks,

Andy

Why don't you like Tomtom?

And why would you want to link your satnav to your stereo? They have built in speakers to play instructions out...

I link mine to my stereo cos you just can't hear a 1" PDA speaker above the noise of a quicksilver and ITG in an Elise!

Apparently Navmans are known for poor signal reception and getting a lock is hit and miss, they dont use the latest chipset like the latest TomTom's.

I just got a TomTom One Regional. Awesome little unit. Connected to my phone and PC with no probs. Downloaded all the UK speed cameras and got them installed.

No head phone jack on the regional like the older 'one'.

New Sirf III chipset locks on 5 satellites within 30 seconds of switch on.

What is wrong with Tom tom? Is heaps better then the Garmin I upgraded from.
