I have an IP35 Express MB, a 6750 Dual core, 2 Gb of PC-6400 ram and an 8800GTX. I clocked the FSB (Multiplier doesn't go above 8) and got the processor to 3.4GHZ with substantial gains in 3DMark 06. However, when I reached 3.5GHz, even though it was stable with a couple of voltage increases, my score was substantially lower.
I clocked back to 3.4GHz, thinking maybe that this was the sweet spot but cannot attain the high figures I previously attained. My high score was reduced by about 400 points. Anyone any ideas on this?
I also use ATI tool to overclock my graphics.
