The finishing was TERRIBLE.
And the only reason they scored is Wes Brown! that guy is terrible, getting sold the wrong way by kenny Miller of all people is a crime against football!.
Wes Brown cannot defend, end of story.

I have never rated wes brown, i refere you to last season, and the seasons before's posts.
He is Dozy, Doesnt pay attention, has no physical presence, cant tackle, and above all, cant head, he NEVER wins a header against anybody taller than 4ft.

got to be Ferdinand and Woodgate if you ask me but i digress :)

Brown is a decent defender but you have to remember that this is only his secodn game back after 7-8 months out with cruciate ligament damage. It was a mistake and a bad one at that but you got to give the guy a chance.
 
On current and last seasons form i wouldn't rate any of them higher than Campbell. Ferdinand has played poorly in a huge amount of matches and can't say that i think Woodgate has done enough to warrant being placed so high. Terry has looked very good though but i think it should be between him and Ferdinand to partner Campbell in my opinion.

Nice to see him being completely ignored though lol.
 
England's best defense is Rio + Campbell, end of story really. They have shown they work superbly together and a few good games for Terry or Woodgate don't suddenly make them better than Campbell.

Don't be silly Wes Brown is not a terrible defender. He usually is ok but is prone to odd error here or there, like against R.Madrid when they made him and rest of your defense look like amateurs :o Last season when you had Silvestre + Brown at the back I thought that was when your defense looked at it's best.

I actually haven't seen Miller's goal yet so can't say whether it was his fault, Fergie said he slipped in the interview afterwards......

Jazz, Brown is a terrible defender, he always has been, i cant see how you can say he is usually ok, he is usually looking lost if and whenever he is fit to play.
You wait till you see millers goal, its a prime example of a condition know as "BBF" -- Brown Brain Failure, on the premiership tonight watch how stretch Iverson wins every header against Brown as Brown fails to leave the ground as he struggles with one of the worst strikers in english football, watch his misdirected passes, inability to track runners, laugh out loud as he is dragged completly out of position, and allow yourself a wry smile as he is caught ball watching, time after time after time.
Our only hope he hurts himself again before we play our next match.

I don't know man, whenever I saw him last season I thought he did allright. Your probably in a better position to say if he is good or not though.

Keane is Man utd's best CB, he is also their best CM. Against Juve last season when u beat them 3-0 your CBs were Keane and Rio, it looked like Keane was the defender you had bought for £29mill! Neville seems to be doing ok there so maybe they should try to bring in someone like Kleberson and make Keane CB?
 
Ok just seen the goal, he did slip but when Miller came running at him he looked totally lost! Also Howard should have saved that shot.

Ronaldo's crossing was so poor throughout the match.

If he hadn't been 'overlooked' at international level he would be the 1st defenders name on the team sheet by now. He's not prone to Campbells' rash challenges, or Browns' lack of concentration, or Woodgates/Southgates bad distribution. In my opinion he's what a centre back should be, get the ball off them & give it to one of you to do something with:)
 
Brown is a good defender when he get time in the team. He played a very important part of the best defence in the league last season. Give him a break. Before todays game he had played 90 mins of first team football.

Keane had a very good match against Juve but having him at CB is a joke. The week later (think it may have been against newcastle) he looked lost and out of position.

Both Rio and Silvestre have been great this season. Rio has looked like the £30m man he is and Silvestre looks even better. Remember Silvestre when he came always getting caught out and making stupid mistakes. Look at him now. One of the best CB's in the league.

We can always bring neville to CB and stick brown on the right or o'shea to CB and fortune left. Even when Djemba gets back have him in defence if needed. We have a very versatile squad.

Kleberson's been given the week off and the squad are flying off on holiday tomorrow or monday i think.
 
He made a few against Charlton and us last season didn't he? ;)

Also don't forget that he has Makelele sitting infront of him, Makelele is probably the best at sitting right infront of the defense and he has been imo the main reason for your good defensive record. Even players like Melchiot and Ranieri agree :)

You played Newcastle a few months later :-\ I don't ever recall him playing another game as your CB..........
 
im sorry, but everyone is making out that miller had nothing to do with the goal. he sint a bad forward, i mean he is a full international. better than a few strikers in the prem.

at least give him some credit! were he to have run straight at brown, would brown have slipped? no!!! miller took it round him, and brown just fell due to what miller had done!

of course im a wolves fan and i see it this way!
