You can have vegetarian sausages. I do most of the time, and I'm a meat eater.

If I had to pick one, bacon. I usually go for bacon.

But sausages are awesome too and, both is also a winner.

A decent sausage is harder to find than bacon, so if I'm in a random place its bacon. If its at home, sausage from my local butchers.

Bacon sandwich with HP sauce is ace but the bacon has to be crispy, that's a fine Sunday morning pick me up. Sausage sandwich with beans/tinned tomatos and egg is a great lunch time snack (if a little messy).

Bacon wins on its own or with sauce, but is beaten by Sausage with Tinned Tomatoes or beans.

You can't simply choose between one or the other! Assuming we're talking about decent bacon and decent sausages then there are far more variables to take into account:

Time of day - bacon is definitely more of a morning food
Method of serving - plate = sausages, in bread of some form = bacon
Meal or snack - meal = sausages, snack = bacon.

As nice as crispy bacon is, grilled/baked to nicely brown on the outside high quality pork sausages are one of the best things about being alive.
