Just got an crucial ssd m4 64gb,installed no problems, and reinstalled w7 with no problems. My original hdd was a 500gb samsung f3 which i use for all my storage now,i plugged back in after id finished downloading all windows updates. My problem is even though i havent lost any fliles i cant use my save game files any more, mostly with steam(although some games that use steam cloud are ok )i redirected them but still i cant run the games from where i was.
Dead space i reinstalled,Bioshock 2 (Both not on steam), i even moved all the files across to my ssd but it wont let me play, just reinstall, its as if the files arent recognised, any ideas what ive done wrong or not done?
I decided to start new vegas again and the new saves work fine

Afternoon,

I've pretty much just completed the exact same process as you.

My games (steam etc.) run off a storage drive, when i started dead island BFBC2 for the 1st time it remade the saved games/profile folders onto my new SSD. When i realised I had lost my saved games I just copied the old folders from the old HDD to the new SSD writing over the top of the new ones and the saved games/profiles were back in action.

The same process was also applied to starcraft 2 and crysis 2. Both campaign saved files worked.

Sounds like I done the same as you?
