So i've been looking to buy a new TV.3D is a must, around 46inches.BUT WICH ONE?Pricerange is around 1500 euros(1320£).And with wich one i mean:Plasma,Led or LCD.I see people telling that the new generation of plasma is the way to go,other people say that it is LED and then there are people who tell that LCD is the best choice?

Too bad i don't see a poll option in here :D

only you can answer the question as a lot is down to personal prefference, if it was my money I'd get the best plasma I could afford but then thats just what I like!

Sorry can't comment as I don't own a 3D tv but what I will say is make sure you read the review posted above, esp. the part about mismatched glasses and :
'There is still some obivous panel-generated (not source-specific) noise during 3D playback, though, as well as some jaggedness during 3D motion. Buyers should keep in mind that the 50-inch Panasonic TX-P50GT30B will probably be free of the latter issue, and will also deliver a more immersive 3D experience due to the larger screen size, anyway.'

might be worth saving for the bigger version.

Why does everyone recommend a plasma still? I've seen LED and plasma side by side and the LED is by far superior in colour/richness/depth and in 3D it looks even better to me. Am I the only one who thinks this, can anyone explain why they prefer the plasmas over LED?

Because in shops they turn up every setting to 100%, so LCD tvs look all super colourful and brighter, the blacks look black because there's a ton of illumination on the shop floor e.t.c.

Take them home and use the same settings and you get a completely over-satured, overly bright, fake looking image, with greyish blacks when the lights are dimmed and that wonderful video-camera effect from extra frame creation.

Plasmas, such as the Kuros (RIP!) and newer Panny ones are highly regarded because they can reproduce a reference quality image, rather than something that looks pretty but is completely unrealistic. Their blacks/contrast will always be superior due to the inherent nature of the technology, the viewing angles are better, they suffer from less crosstalk with 3D, less motion blur, and really in 2011, the only advantage LED LCDs have is they're more energy efficient, you can get them in smaller sizes, and because they're brighter they don't suffer from as much glare/washout in bright environments/in direct light.

They have no models out for 2011 that are rolling out now. I think the G series is available to buy now, the higher V series out shortly. There's a thread about them in here on the first page still, I think.
