Saving £1 & £2 coins but worried about Fakes !

A lot of the fake ones are so good most people can't spot them.

If they're that good then it doesn't even matter (from an individual's point of view)

One way I heard to check is hold the £1 coin in between your thumb and finger with the Queens head up and spin it around to check the image on the back is also lined up.

Not sure if all fakes can be spotted this way and presumably some will line up by chance but I have found a few using this technique.
