Right, my dad is currently using my staff discount on o2 and the contract is just about to come to the end. Due to being on a staff deal they offer next to nothing on the phone due to my current spend. I've tried the whole retentions thing.
My dad really wants to keep the number as he uses it for business a lot, i managed to convince him last time to change but not this time. My idea is to end the contract and port the number to a voda PAYG sim card, take a new contract and port it back. I've always heard people recommend this way, but i'm not 100% it'll work.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it work? Or is it a wild goose chase?
