Can it be done?

For example:

I dont have regular internet, so this isn't my usual computer, so i want to save various website to HD, then copy it across to my other comupter, and view them offline.

Can it be done?

If u save the pages as HTML yea.

But to get best view u will need to save the images as well but will be really messy. Best prob ask in the HTML forums below.

the programs for saving entire websites are out there so just google. I used one years ago, but don't remember name. You really need to be careful about the settings regarding what links to follow and "how deep" to follow the links... depending on the website you could end up attempting to save half the www or on the flipside not nearly enough of the website.

cheers, as you can see i dont get round to getting on the net often, so this would be a great idea.

There used to be a program called webzip which downloaded full sites and included an option on how deep to go with the links. Just ran a quick search on google which takes me here but its trial/licenced software not a freebie.

Another vote for HTTrack, if using firefox, use Spiderzilla, a extension front end for it.

if its just one big page you want saved, then file save as is your friend!

just copy the html file and the folder that it makes and you can run them from anywhere..

Teleport Pro is a Favourite of mine, can download full webpages or use it to download certain extensions so if ** looking to download ermmmmmmmm pics for example you'd set it up to only download .jpg .bmp .gif etc to a folder
