Hi guys, I have a gamespot memebership and I'm trying to download a trailor. When I click the 'download' link, the file opens in a new window and quicktime tries to stream the file instead of downloading it. When I right click the video, I can't 'save source as' because I don't own the paid for version. If I right click the download button and choose 'save as', it just tries to save the button link as opposed to the movie file. How the fudge do I get this file to download?

TIA,

Michael.

Can you find out the full URL from the source code?

If so just use a download manager or HTML script to save the file.

Right I've reinstalled QuickTime Alternative (even though the setup warned me it had already been installed) but this didn't change a thing. The video still streams instead of downloading, and I still cannot choose 'save source as'. Any further suggeestions?

Once it's loaded on the screen, can you not click the down pointing triangle on the lower right hand side of the Quicktime window and click "Save as Quicktime movie"?
