Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

I think I found what i read.

It's not on their website, or at least I can't find it, but it is on their app.

Select "Octoplus" from the left-hand side menu. Then click on "How Octoplus works" The first entry reads

"Free electricity when the grid is greenest"

Yep, that is an Octoplus thing rather than related to saving sessions, similar to the "Power Up" sessions they have in certain areas but more widespread. Not that there has actually been one yet.

Even lower requirements today, same time and 30 mins as yesterday!

Likely to make bids low possibly excluding octopus

These tests are a bit of joke arent they with bidding. Not sure Octopus paying extra over their bid helps either.
They are testing the waters to see how low they can go with the rates, especially with such a low requirement - it could come back to bite them if they need a high demand though in the future.

Yes they are testing how low they can go so paying us extra makes no sense because it skews the test data from a consumer angle.

No "pump" needed before today's "dump". I've held back today's excess generation in the battery in preparation

Now to make sure there is no washing, dishwasher, use of the oven, or induction hob in those short 30 minutes. I know if I turn my back for a moment, they'll all be on at the same time. :D
