Saving Thunderbird Emails

Is there another way of saving emails apart form using mozbackup? On my work pc there are some important emails that I want saving and I want to make sure that they are not deleted.

I make a backup for the c:\documents and settings\name\Application data\thunderbird

folder and then move it over when ready.
