Do you guys use onboard sound card headers for hi-audio on front panel?
I didn't realise it was possible to use it but it's working just fine and sounds pretty much the same on my headphones. When I plug in headphones it turns off the speakers and uses onboard audio, and when I unplug straight back to surround. Beats fiddling around the back of my pc to plug in headphone jack.
Wondering if it will be any different in games now, or even in movies. I love my Audigy 2ZS but if I can't notice the difference maybe I should just use onboard? My onboard has digital out for my z-680's as well.
Anyone have similar experience?
Main difference for me so far is that the mic has a lot of background noise through the onboard audio, whereas it is silent on my audigy.
