Hi.
IIRC, to get the latest SB Live Drivers to install, the original ones off the CD have to be installed first.

Does anyone know where i can get the original driver CD, or drivers off the CD from?

Ive got 6 SB Lives 5.1 here in the cupboard at work, all of them pretty useless at the moment. :(.

I have used a SB Live since it's release many years ago up to just a couple of months ago. I have not used the CD in just as many years.

I have always just gone to the Creative website and re-downloaded them. iirc it will take you to the archived downloads or something as obviously it is no longer supported, I have even got it to work on vista.

So they should be far from useless, there a pretty darn good sc actualy. Only dropped mine as I had audio issues with Bioshock which turned out not to be the cards fault.

Well ive downloaded all the drivers off their site for it, and all of them say that the card isnt installed, even though it is. And present in device manager as an unknown multimedia card.

So they should be far from useless...

I ment in regards to useless without the drivers.
 
have a LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe dated 26/12/2005 on my hard drive is 23.6mb in properties states its a sound blaster live driver pack 2 dunno if that is any good to you??
im sure i used that to install on a friends pc,can upload it somewhere if you want?
 
Worked a treat.
Had to 'force' windows to use them, rarther than using the installer, but it appears to have worked pretty well.

I just install the THX setup and mode switcher from the CD. Reboot.
Install the drivers downloaded from website. Reboot
