SB vs. IB

You will be kicking yourself if you ever end up with a high end multi gpu setup for multiple monitors.

@MeMeMeMe That's correct but only for Vega's graph, the other graph is for just 2 cards and the bottleneck is just as substantial.

Not to mention that TriDef 3d software is **** and would give even more problems in xfire :P
Besides that i will w8 for them to fix process up. I noticed that its lottery atm if it goes fo overclocking. One chips are better other much worse
.

The first graph is 2-way SLI x16/x16 in both cases.

I see. It is a confusing graph :)
Still, it's using the most powerful card currently around, and who knows, there could be other issues which cause it in that particular setup (the PCI2 motherboard might not have been doing well, for instance). I'm not saying the result is false, just that I'll keep an open mind till more results come in.

For instance, if there is a difference using SLI 680, I'd exoect to see the difference magified when going yup to 3x-4x SLI of the same cards. It's hard to tell from the two graphs, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Which - if so - suggests it's not a bandwith issue, but something else causing the difference.

There have been several review sites that tested using the most powerful 6xxx/5xx series cards, and saw only tiny differences, but it would be nice to see them test the new generation of cards in the same way.

just got this :)

I have the same board as well - seems like a nice bit of kit. I already have it in my new case, H100 backing plates attached, 16GB Samsung Green ram in place, 256GB Corsair Performance Pro SSD in place and I have had plenty of time to tidy up the cables as neatly as possible.

Now just waiting for a CPU - and my PSU / Graphics cards from this system.

Had my Q6600 for a long time now, so really looking forward to a new build.
