I got a letter through the post today, from a very well known mail order company. A company that TV stars Trinny and Suzanna have been advertising for the past while...
Anyway, right away the letter appears to be a photocopy, not very well printed. It's addressed to me, got my full name and address but I don't remember ever buying from/signing up to this company, for a catalogue or any other services. It says 'Congratulations, you've won a prize', and it's given me an amount similar to 'you've won anything from £20 - £1000.' It has also been signed using only the persons first name. For example if it was 'John Smith', the person has just signed 'JOHN'.
It could be real, but I just got that feeling of scam when I looked at it. The only thing that really bothers me, is that some company might have my personal details and is sending me rubbish.
Thanks.
